Ever since I learned how to switch out
skies in Photoshop Elements 8,
I have been playing around with
this fun feature.
I love photographing barns and
follow Tricia Hayes'
The photo above is the original sky
which is pretty enough...
But changing the sky is a simple
photo-editing technique.
You can find numerous tutorials online sharing how
to do this in your own editing program.
I couldn't stop playing with the techinque
and put children up in the skies.
Thought I would share these
because they really are fun.
I also added various textures
and bokeh that you can find for free online.
You can also find lots of pretty sky photos online
or start taking interesting sky photos yourself
and storing them in a SKIES folder
where you can find them again.
Couldn't resist putting wings
on 5-year-old Katy because
she is such an
ANGEL!
more ways to use the
Changing Backgrounds technique.

I entered her Show and Tell Challenge
called, From a Distance.
Skies are a distance.

wow! i absolutely love the first shot too! gorgeous no matter what!
that looks like fun!
My imagination is definitely sparked... more like a raging fire?! Ok, maybe a bit dramatic, there, but still, I'm definitely going to check into that one. Sometimes, I take pics where the sky is completely washed out & it just doesn't make for a pretty picture!
I seriously love all the skies you've shown here w/ that beautiful barn... so awesome! =)
Thanks so much for joining in & linking up to Barn Charm, Jill, very much appreciated =)
The barn is beautiful and the cloud with little angels are awesome!
Barn Charm
I would be happy with any version...all are beautiful.
Wow! I love what you've done with this. I really need to learn how to use photoshop!
You asked about the Lavender Farm. It's near Boyne City. Here's the web site:

Your original photo is beautiful!
I have PSE but I'm not good at doing much with it. Your edited barn shot is lovely.
I really need to learn the cloud thing since my little granddaughter looks at the clouds and says I wanna go up there. :)
And yes, the little fawn at the birdbath was just outside my sunroom window.
How wonderful!!! I have to find out how to do this. Your editing is just great!
Would you possibly share some links you found?
Just what I need....another addiction/lol
following you on twitter, also!
How fun to play with the editing features. These photos are great!
The first shot is just gorgeous without editing!

This is cool, and I can see why it is a bit addicting. I really like the original barn. Your perspective is awesome, and I love the plowed wave in front.
My goodness! It's amazing! I've never changed a sky so will have to looks for a tutorial.
You are doing great at that! How fun and what a beautiful sky! WOW! I need to do that someday.
The barns are my faves! BEAUTIFUL!!! I need to come over someday so you can teach me!
Great barn shot. I like them all, but I'm a purist. The first is my favorite. :-)
I also wanted to note that I love the recreated shot you did of the couple celebrating their 60th anniversary. Wonderful.
